!deaa...

"What an Idea Sirji??"
Well this is the latest quote gaining popularity day by day. As you all may have seen the recent advertisements aired by the Idea Cellular Ltd.(Aditya Birla Group) launching the 'Go Green' campaign and their motto being to reduce the usage of paper. Seriously, "What an Idea Sirji??"!! Cool... The Birla group is going futuristic, they want to do something to the nation, the world, the environment. They are making the rural India aware of Global Warming, kudos to them for their initiative!!

Now, one AD in particular has made me think a lot from the day it was aired, the one in the fish market in Kolkata where a fat Bengali lady bargains with the seller and pays 100 rs to him though he demands for 120 bucks.
We are in for a surprise here, the transaction happens through MOBILE. She sends the amount to his number and all of a sudden disappears with the fish(only her voice is heard) even before the money is transferred to the seller's number(Btw does fish cost only that much??, I guess she bought 2 XXL size fishes!?!? Since i come from a Brahmin household,I aint sure of the cost...).
Anyways, I was giggling seeing this AD and started imagining about how would it be in all the places if this comes into effect in the future.
SUDDENLY, something cropped in my mind, in fact BOUNCED!
"Can this kind of money transferring stuff bring 'THE ENNND' to the greatest THORN that is abrupting our nation's growth. I mean the so called 'CORRUPTION'!?!? I just kept thinking about it from then. So lets start off with...

CORRUPTION: I see this as an opportunity to eradicate corruption and also achieve Dr. Kalam's DREAM 2020!!!
Firstly, the politicians, the govt officials and anyone who intends to take or give Bribe will find it difficult to transfer the money(BLACK one,of course!!). How??

We can setup an organization which can be a collaboration of the Mobile Service Providers and the CYBER CRIME... They can monitor the money transferring process done between the subscribers and also probe into cases of high amount money transfer..!
Every single thing in this world has its own share +ve's and -ve's.. Here are the pros and cons of this.....

PROS: ~ This system will reduce circulation of black money around the world... Thats great!! (:

~ People may find it difficult to do forgery!!!

~All the black money in the world can be brought into the limelight....

~ The mobile no's of police personnel, govt officials can be alloted and maintained Separately 'n' monitored too....

BUT all this will and can happen only if the currency notes are completely abolished..

CONS: ~ A very huge investment is reqd!! Hmmm... But thats gonna be easy.. Well, when the govt can do city beautification process at a budget of Rs 1000C or more (or) Shifting of Electricity Boxes from platform to some other place which may cost a handful of crores jus for a few good areas (ooorrrr) The Beautiful Garland made of 1000 Rs notes(worth 5C!) gifted to a politician!! ( Imagine... If the crazy party ppl replace the notes with handsets, once the plan is implemented... LOL!! Its Hilarious, at the same time Scary too!!)

~ A whole set of new softwares has to be created for this... Ummm... What are we ENGINEERS for??? To work abroad n make that developed country more wealthy?!?!
NO!!! I think its time for all of us to do something for the nation...

BUT this will require something else too..... What??..... Whattt???????

'MANPOWER'!!!! :D

^ : "You can give it to a reputed IT company instead...? Even if you require manpower, it may be just a few thousands...!"
@ : "Nah!!! Wait..."

EMPLOYMENT: ^ : "Huh?? How is that possible??"
@ : "Yeah. It is, Very much..."

~ MANPOWER is needed to develop the software AND also to run the ORGANISATION I had said abt first.... Got it???

~ A very large no of people will be reqd as the org has to be setup in each and every place of the country.
Maybe not as many mobile network towers but atleast 1 in every city,town,etc...

~ BTW there are so many Engg and other graduates who come from a very poor background and are still not able to repay the education loan they had taken, though they are employed to some Underpaid jobs... Whats the use of their Degrees?? The ones they had got by working hard day n night to become SOMEONE big in life, an ACHIEVER!! But then there are hoards of such people who have done their studies and scratching their head as to why they did higher edu...
This might be a BOON for them... And they can create the softwares too!!

~ So we just need Investments!!! I guess FUNDS are not going to be a problem since the organisations are going to be setup by the PUBLIC SECTOR- PRIVATE SECTOR partnership! Really sounds good... Isnt it???

I'm quite sure that most of the people reading this would have thought, " What will the RBI do then???"?!?!
Hmmmm.... The RBI can be very much a part of this whole programme and monitor it too...!

I guess its time for me to think in various Other angles!!! So, I'd like you people to pose some doubts or questions or your comments,if any....

Well, there are so MANY things n doubts that bubble up in my mind too BUT for US and the FUTURE generations, i just wish

" ALL IZZ WELL "!!! :D
(Btw heard that Vijay is gonna do Aamir's role in the Tamil remake of the film!! OMG....
He'll give a RAMBO effect to the character of RANCHO!! Does anyone have an "!deaa.." to something of Him??? :P)

Wish you all a GOOOOOD day!!! :) :D

  2. well thats a good start bro..... regarding the issue, i'd rather have a different opinion abt it.... now, the idea is definitely a good one... but then to add to the CONS..., first tel me how to buy a handset and an Idea sim card, without having to use paper currency.....?? (oops ! ;) :P) next,, how'd u invest in providing handsets to each n every citizen of India... ofcourse it needs a lotta investment as u sy,, but tell me how can a 4 or 5 yr old child operate a handset, just to buy a lollipop worth rs 2 or 3??!!?? and why on earth would we want to pursue people to be more handset dependant...... i mean its relle harmful, the whole world knws it... radiation..cancer... etc etc.... i'd rather support something like recycled usage of paper right now,, and for the corruption,, there s a big question mark yet, how to stop it....

  3. @ arun: Thanks Bro!!! :) ya will surely do...

@ akshay: Thanx boss! i dint say dat u need to buy an idea sim card for this... i aint supportin them but i'm supporting their initiative!!

wel i had mentioned abt d forum of all the Service Providers!!! and if a child has to buy choc or lollipop, they can buy with d coins..

Also a person need not have a handset compulsorily, mayb an electronic device can e made fr this v purpose if ya don neeed mob and can be associated wid d smart cards that r gonna b provided to everyone i guess... How abt mob wid the facility of havin both SIM n SMART card in them! now lets not go far ahead..!! its jus an idea..

as fr corruption, we need to take an initiative to find the solution fr it n not jus wonder how big the ques mark is!!!???

  5. Good blog for a first one...
If you devise a system to destroy corruption they will find a way to misuse/evade the same..May be we can try barter system atleast in some transactions to come out of our conditioning reg our usage of any currency..
Let your dream of currency free world come soon..!
